The scale says I lost 3.5 pound, since Friday when I weighed 177 pounds.  I don’t believe I lost 3.5 pounds of fat in 5 days.  I ran  a 20 mile run the weekend before last. Usually, within a week of a long run I gain almost 2-3 pounds of water weight.  Therefore, I think I am 2-3 pounds less hydrated than Friday and lost about .5-1 pound of fat.  It’s important not to get to excited at daily weight fluctuations.

I’ve been following my eating plan and continuing my exercising. I don’t feel hungry and haven’t craved anything. I have been carrying a bag of almonds around with me for a week. I’ve been snacking on a few almonds throughout the day along with an apple or banana.  It keeps my blood sugar more constant so that I don’t feel like I need to gorge myself at meal time.
