Bit of a funk

Published by admin | Filed under Chicago 2007

I haven’t written in a while. Lost my enthusiasm for awhile. My knee began to hurt again over the last two weeksand it’s been hot and humid. This all added up to some crummy runs. Last weekend I planned on running 20 miles, but got in only 7.5 slow miles before fatigue and pain got the best of me.

Yesterday I ran intervals at the track with Scott and Brian. Normally I can push it hard no matter how much my body complains. However, yesterday I was ready to call it a day soon after the first interval.

Tomorrow we are running 10 miles at our projected marathon pace(7:25 mpm). The weather at 5:30 am is supposed to be 56 degrees F with 94% humidity. Cool and humid. I pray the cooler temp makes the run a little less difficult. I also pray I get out of my funk and begin to enjoy running again.
